Nodding Buckwheat
Erigonum cernuum Nutt.

An annual herb native with branched woody stems and densely hairy, basal leaves. Small flowers and petals absent or similar in color. Flower parts appear mostly in multiples of three, and each flower produces a single grain-kike seed, or achene.  Flower parts are very small and form dense single or multiple umbrella like clusters. Each small flower has three sepals and three petals, which are usually similar in size, structure, and color, and nine stamens. Grows at elevations between 4200 to 11 feet.
